This series consists of reports of the value of the real estate owned by the Branch Bank. The Bank was required by order of the Governor of the State of Ala. to examine, describe and value the real estate belonging to the Bank. Included may be a brief assessment of the report by the appointed commissioners to the Secretary of State. Also included are descriptions of the location of the land, descriptions of the boundaries of each lot or tract of land, names of the former owners of the land, and the estimated quality and value of the land. References to deeds filed in county courts and references to other Bank books may also be found.
